Our children don't seem to like eating there but complain they are hungry the moment we get home. Upon request, we are denied to take the untouched meals home. So it is a waste of time and money if the kids don't feel like eating. Wasting food goes against how I was raised, so I leave stressed and we get home and have to still cook dinner anyway. Kids will be kids and a good family restaurant should understand this. Meals are usually very nice, but sometimes undercooked. The menu is very limited. If you don't eat beef of seafood, there is not many nice options. Most of the staff are a pleasure, but we have found on more than one occasion that some older female staff members can be a little rude. We have dined there a fair few times now, including in large groups. But we never leave completly satisfied with our experience and to be denied to take our kids meals home is a deal breaker for us, so we won't be returning. I'll be very happy to never have to sign in again, as this is very annoying also, and a woman at the desk can be rude to my children.
Friendly staff the ambiance is great. But the food I am sorry to say this but it lacks flavour, we ordered the fish of the day, the fish is tasteless, frozen green beans and couple of boiled potato and roast pumpkin. As a professional chef I take great offense when the chefs send out food without seasoning, it just bland. will never come back!
Well presented RSL and dining area that has a good variety of food options. Generous meal sizes. Service was good and all the meals came out together. Plenty of gluten free menu options and an indoor play area for children. There are a number of interesting military artifacts worth taking a look at.
Beautiful food and friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere with large open dining area and a great variety of meals to choose from. Very accommodating with children, proving high chairs and a colouring sheet with crayons. Playground and games area included for older children as well. Service was reasonably quick even when busy. Was not super expensive but definitely worth the price for the delicious food. Husband ordered the flat head fillets which were fresh and tasty and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad which was amazing.
Great service! The bistro was able to fit our large group without a booking, graciously and with no hassle. Our wait staff were helpful and attentive. The meals were delicious and of great size. My chicken was cooked to perfection. A few in our party were seniors and were impressed with the price and quality of their meals. Most impressive was at 9pm the lights dimmed and everyone in the facility were upstanding for the ode to the fallen soldiers. Definitely rate highly and will return.
