Yup huge amount of food and very good. Accommodation a bit basic bathroom very smelly and not sure about the water.Flip side was ..perfect location reasonably priced sleeps loads so wouldn't complain about itWould I stay again? Yes so that says it all

Bistro lovely ..Accommodation shocking ..We were in rooms 700's and the room was so false advertised via internet. It's unfair .....Only bed and wardrobe in room.No water No facilities to make a cuppa Shared bathroom which was in clean, the bottom of shower curtain full of mould. The beds you had to make yourself with bedding provided. And lots of long dark hair on beds...

Last night we went to the North Pier Hotel with my family, food was nice and reasonably portioned.Best location for a restaurant as it is right across the road from the beach. I ordered the Fish and Chips, they were nicely crumbed and again reasonably portioned. However I would have liked someone to ask us how our food was and make sure we were satisified. Other than that the location is great and so is the food, would recommend coming here, very nice place.

The first night I stayed at the hotel, I was in room 302. Rooms 301-305, 201-205 and 101-105 are on the left side of the hotel, next to the bar & bistro. The bar itself isn't too bad, they stop serving food relatively early, and last drinks appears to be at midnight. However the clientele is able to stay on the veranda for as long as they like, and if you're on the right side of the hotel, you'll be able to hear them until they depart, as there is a lack of sound proofing in the room. Bring ear plugs if you're staying in rooms ending in 1 to 5. We did go for drinks at the bar, where I saw an animal dart inside to the kitchen. I followed to make sure it wasn't a pet, and saw that in fact it was a possum! A bartender then came to tell me off for being in the entrance of the kitchen (fair enough as it is a staff area) and I replied "Oh I'm sorry, but there's a possum in your kitchen." The bartender then replied "Yeah, sure you are." And didn't even blink at the fact there's an animal in their kitchen! This exchange made me extremely uncomfortable, and we left not long after that.

Great atmosphere and excellent location, close to the beach, park, and local shops. Air conditioned bar / bistro area with a great view of the beach. We hired a small dorm room, which was just for sleeping in really. They were kind to give us a fan to help combat the hot weather we were in, so we had a good sleep. There was an outdoor swimming pool we could use instead of the beach if we desired. Parking was a bit cramped (Christmas) but we managed to get a shaded spot under a tree.
